Life Insurance
Would you look after your family for as long as you live, or for as long as your family lives? There is a difference.
A popular phrase used in the marketing of life insurance is “Protecting your loved ones”. I think that phrase is not complete. It’s “Protecting your loved ones from the financial consequences of you not being around.”
Life insurance is a tool to provide security when things will never be the same. It’s usually to:
- Put food on the table,
- Ensure our children’s education,
- Enable a certain standard of living for our dependents,
- Pay off liabilities
- Keep businesses intact
- Allow for fair transfer of assets
The list goes on.
An important distinction is that life insurance is not taken up because we will die. It’s taken up because those who live may never be as well-equipped as you are to take on the world. It’s to enable those dearest to us with the financial capacity to deal with things they didn’t use to have to deal with.
How equipped they will be depends on what we have done for them. Click below for us to have a conversation, today.
